SIYC’s 2025 Year in Review: 25 Years of Sellers Making an Impact

2025 has been an extraordinary year of growth and connection. As we celebrate 25 years of partnership between Amazon and independent sellers, we're especially proud of what Sellers in Your Community (SIYC) has accomplished with your support and involvement. Over the past year, SIYC hosted 11 memorable events, connecting more of you with community leaders, policymakers, and fellow business owners, and creating more opportunities to grow, learn, and be heard.

Across the country, SIYC events brought sellers together to exchange ideas, spotlight innovation, and strengthen the connection between small businesses and the communities they serve. Here's a look at how sellers showed up and made an impact throughout this milestone year.

Los Angeles: Securing Family Legacies

Sacha Hason of European Leather Works speaks at the roundtable in Los Angeles

In April, we gathered in Los Angeles County to meet with family-founded businesses that are thinking not just about growth today, but sustainability for generations to come. From fourth-generation brands to family-run teams, the conversation centered on how sellers are using Amazon tools to evolve without losing what makes their businesses personal.

These sellers shared how data, logistics, and digital storytelling tools can help family businesses preserve their identity while adapting to a changing retail landscape, showing that legacy and innovation don’t have to be at odds.

Washington, DC and Arlington: Connecting in the Nation’s Capital

Amazon seller Sarah Wells chats with customers walking through “Amazon Alley” at the Community Day event in Arlington

Sellers around the nation’s capital connected with each other and new customers through two distinct SIYC events this year. In June, local businesses Bon AppeSweet, Lay-N-Go, Mblue Labs, Upbounders, and Sarah Wells Bags came together at the Congressional Baseball Game for seller-to-seller networking and conversations about entrepreneurship. In September, sellers brought their products directly to the public at HQ2 Community Day in Arlington, where “Amazon Alley” gave attendees a chance to discover that many brands they already knew and loved were built by small businesses in their own backyard.

Nashville: Showcasing Innovation

Nashville sellers Be Amazing, Stringjoy, and Nemah on stage at the Launch TN 3686 Conference

In September, Nashville sellers brought the city’s creative energy to the forefront through two SIYC events. At the Launch TN 3686 Conference, Tennessee’s premier gathering of entrepreneurs and investors—sellers Stringjoy, Be Amazing, and Nemah shared how access to Amazon’s tools has enabled experimentation, from product innovation to category expansion. Later that day, additional Nashville-area sellers joined an Amazon-hosted networking event to continue the conversation and connect with peers.

Seattle: A Month of Milestones at Accelerate

Dean-Paul Hart of Compac Industries speaks with Amazon’s Shaina Ross during the SIYC Breakfast at Amazon Accelerate

September brought SIYC to Amazon Accelerate in Seattle, where sellers gathered to learn, connect, and share insights. The conference marked several SIYC firsts, including the inaugural SIYC Breakfast, which created space for candid conversations around policy engagement and advocacy.

Throughout the conference, SIYC hosted community stage chats, recorded new seller stories, and welcomed sellers into the SIYC lounge for conversations across industries. A clear theme emerged: opportunity often comes from being open to new conversations, and sometimes from simply saying yes.

Birmingham: Education Meets Advocacy

Sellers Dewar Gaines of Gaines Family Farmstead and Natasha McCray of 1818 Farms joined local leaders, including State Senator Merika Coleman, and the SIYC team in Birmingham

In October, SIYC partnered with the Birmingham Business Alliance for an event that blended education, advocacy, and local pride. Sellers Gaines Family Farmstead and 1818 Farms joined aspiring entrepreneurs to discuss how small businesses are using Amazon to grow while staying deeply rooted in their communities.

Jefferson Parish: Celebrating Louisiana’s Rich Heritage

Louisiana-based sellers and community leaders gathered to discuss growth, heritage, and opportunity

Louisiana food sellers Jambalaya Girl, Creole Foods and bug repellent apparel brand Pang Wangle highlighted the role Louisiana culture plays in shaping distinctive brands. Embracing the flavors and climate of the region, Louisiana’s sellers came together in an October roundtable to discuss how they balance innovation with tradition, using modern tools to reach national audiences while preserving the flavors, craftsmanship, and stories that define their brands.

Austin: The American Dream in Action

Texas-based sellers Chica Beauty, Melinda’s Foods, Herb & Root, and Revitalize Charging Solutions gather at the roundtable in Austin

We closed out the year in Texas, where sellers reflected the state’s mix of tradition, ambition, and bold thinking. At a roundtable in Austin, family-founded and veteran-owned businesses shared how they are using Amazon’s technology, data, and new tools to help them scale, whether that means international expansion, category growth, or investing back into their local communities.

The conversation underscored how sellers across industries are using innovation to write their next chapter, while staying true to the values that launched their businesses in the first place.

An Incredible Year, Made Possible by You

Beyond the events highlighted here, sellers participated in fulfillment center tours, advocacy events in their states, panels, fireside chats, and anniversary storytelling moments, each adding to a year defined by connection and collaboration.

As we close out 2025, we’re celebrating a quarter-century of partnership between Amazon and independent sellers like you. From the earliest sellers who took a chance on a new retail opportunity to today’s entrepreneurs leveraging Amazon’s AI tools and expanding globally, this community continues to evolve, and inspire us along the way.
